Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple
Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple remains one of the most visited temples in Kerala state. It has a Dravidian style architecture which looks charismatic. The main idol here leans back on Anantha- the eight-hooded serpent God. Its stone carvings and murals catch the fascination of every visitor. It hosts some popular festivals like Alpashy festival in October and November and Panguni festival in March and April.

Attukal Bhagavathy Temple
Attukal Bhagavathy is dedicated to Kannaki- an incarnation of Parvati. The temple is known for hosting the renowned Attukal Pongala Festival in which millions of women partake. Attukal Pongala Festival has won place in Guinness Book of World Records as well for being the largest gathering of women for a single religious event.

Udiyanoor Devi Temple
For the devotees of Lord Shiva, Udiyanoor Devi Temple in Thiruvananthapuram remains a must visit. Here you can see idols of Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, Nagaraja, Dharma Sastha and Sri Madan Thampuran. It is the only temple in the state facing North. Here you can witness festivities of famous festivals like Urootu Mahotsav, Pongala Mahostsav and Thrikkodiyettu. Its history dates back to 1300 years and thus, it is counted among the oldest temples in Kerala. 

Kaduthuruthi Mahadeva Thali Temple
Constructed in 14th century, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It remains one of the two Brahmanical royal temples raised by Zamorin. The temple looks stunning with perfect mix of laterite, wood and brass work, brass carvings as well as statues.

Sivagiri Temple
Housing the tomb of Sree Narayana Guru, Sivagiri Temple remains on the itinerary of every spirituality seeker. Here you can spot pilgrims wearing yellow outfits. The temple complex houses residence of Sree Narayana Guru apart from a display of his personal belongings. Do attend the Guru puja here.
