Architecture of the Church
Built in the Portuguese style of architecture, the St. Francis Church is a famous structure. A timber framed roof, covered with tiles adds to the charm of the church. All the doors and windows in the church have a semi-circular ache. The bell tower of the church is made up of three compartments. The interior of the church has a striking view with two stepped summits topping the channel roof and an arched opening that divides the chancel from the central area of the church.

The walls of the regal church are wonderfully embellished with painted artworks. Various churches have been built keeping St. Francis Church as the prototype. The church is one of the most beautiful attractions, and a perfect place for the history lovers. The architecture and history of the church play a trivial role in the thriving of the tourism industry of Kochi.
