Karanata has everything which makes it a popular destination in India. And beaches of the state remain on the top of the list, luring travellers from all over the world. The state has some of the most picturesque beaches weaved together in a single thread of peace and nature. Gokarna Beach
With its impressive home stays and some beautiful eateries serving local food, Gokarna Beach remains the most visited beach in the state. Apart from lazing around its coastline, travellers can also visit some ancient temples here which remain flooding during the popular Shivratri Festival.

Kaup Beach
Just 12 km south of Udupi, Kaup Beach is one of the most frequented beaches of Karanata. It has a 100 ft high light house and a fort which is almost in ruins now. The beach remains vibrant with locals and travellers indulging in swimming and having a whale of a time at the shacks lined up along the coastline. 

Karwar Beach
Located in Uttara Kannada district, Karwar Beach is great if you are a devotee of seafood. Here you will find numerous eateries serving freshest sea food. It showers you with perfect sunrise and sunset views and lets you laze around all day long. Some of the main places to visit around the beach include Sadashivgad Hill Fort, Durga Temple, Octagonal Church, etc.

Kudle Beach
Kudle is also a must visit beach for family vacationers seeking whole family fun. It has too many restaurants and cafes apart from some great accommodation options which let you enjoy a stay just next to a beautiful beach. From here views of the vast Arabian Sea are just priceless.

Om beach
This beach has earned this name due to its coastline which looks like the auspicious ‘Om’ symbol as per Hinduism. From here, the horizon looks striking and it is extremely soothing for your eyes. Travellers visiting here can spend their time indulging in surfing, skiing and other such pleasurable activities.

Half Moon Beach
Wake up early and visit this beach to spot picture perfect sunrise views. It is a great spot for photographers looking for a perfect spot to capture different hues of nature. This beach has no road connectivity and can be reached only by hiking or by taking the motor boats. The view of the sea coast from the hill is just overwhelming.
